Diamond Ring Cleaning Tips
Diamond Ring Cleaning Tips
I’m a diamond
ring, what were you thinking? Or do I not want to know? Well as true as it may
sound… ok, kiddin!
How do you keep me clean? Well, there are a few ways to do this, one is to buy
an ultrasonic cleaner, shake me in there for a bit
and rinse
me off and I’m clean. This works great, with the exception of, what if
there are small bead set or pave’ set stones
on the sides, they can be “shaken” loose sometimes. One easy way
to get the dirt, hand-cream, powder or last week’s meatballs that you
made with your hands and rings still on, is to go out and buy one of these high
tech utensils called a toothbrush, grab some Mr. Clean or any other household
cleaning detergent that does NOT have any cleanser or abrasives
in it that will scratch the metal, boil some water and dip the tooth brush in
it and scrub behind all of the stones and simply rinse and dry it off, the life
will return to the stone and the color that you’ve been missing.
Just a small tip on the maintenance side of things, just don’t put the
diamond ring in the pot while waiting for the water to boil, believe it or not,
I have heard of that happening, diamonds don’t like flames, maybe not
under this method, but diamonds do burn, and I don’t want to hear about
me being the blame for yet something else; get enough of that at home, he-he-he!
See, I kept it clean!
