If you have made a diamond purchase from any vendor, we strongly recommend that you have your diamond taken to an independent appraiser during the "return policy period".
Independent Appraisers will surely give you the best evaluation, making sure the diamond matches the independent grading report, check for structural problems with the stone, determine if the price was appropriate for the market in which it was bought, evaluate the diamond's beauty based on expertise and the use of special equipment, etc.

Beaty is an independent appraiser of gems and jewelry based in
Denver Colorado. He has been active in the jewelry industry in
Colorado since1978, beginning as a goldsmith and retailer in Boulder
and expanding to include Denver and Fort Collins. He opened the
American Gem Registry in 1998 and is no longer associated with
any retail stores. The laboratory is fully equipped and the only
Certified Laboratory of the Accredited Gemologists Association
in Denver. They neither buy no sell jewelry of any kind. Most
appraisals can be done while you wait and while you watch.
